What we do
Insurance policyholders deserve to have the coverage they purchase. We help businesses, non-profit organizations, and others understand their insurance policies and hold insurers to their promises when they deny coverage.
We can help you with a variety of policyholder insurance coverage issues, including:
- Third-party liability coverage: Our policyholder coverage litigation attorneys have experience with numerous insurance policy forms, and the expertise to advise clients and provide coverage analyses in the face of any third-party liability claims, including product liability, toxic tort, environmental liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, professional services and errors and omissions liability, commercial disputes, patent, copyright and trademark claims, and cyber-related losses. If you are facing large third-party liability claims and are having a dispute with your insurance company about the scope of your coverage, we can work with you to resolve the dispute.
- First-party coverage: We also assist clients with the preparation and submission of first-party claims and securing recovery of losses resulting from theft, property damage and business interruption under applicable policies. If you are having a dispute with your insurance company about you own loss, we also can work with you.
- Policyholder litigation: We are committed to fighting for our clients’ rights, including litigation over insurance coverage issues. This includes bringing bad faith claims against insurance companies that deny your claim without a legitimate reason.
We understand that in the face of a lawsuit and mounting defense costs or in the face of property damage, theft or business interruption, policyholders are left to fend for themselves when their insurance company disclaims coverage. We have the resources and flexibility to work with our clients to come up with creative fee arrangements so that they aren’t forced to incur additional attorneys’ fees only to secure the coverage to which they are entitled under their insurance policies.
If you or your business have a policyholder insurance coverage issue, please contact us today. We would be happy to discuss your case and answer any questions you have.
